If my dating life is a metaphor for my career and vice versa, video games represent pretty much the same thing in both spheres. For me, they’re that part of the relationship where I say, “Well, sweetheart, because I love you, I’ll love what you love.”
I have never really understood the allure of video games. Perhaps that’s because I wasn’t allowed to play them growing up. Maybe “allowed” isn’t the correct term. When I was growing up, my parents “steered my interests away from video games.” It’s the reason I prefer “The Phantom Tollbooth,” to Super Mario Brothers.
With that said, I posted a recent video put together by the video team at Mahalo.com (see above), partly because I think it’s well done, entertaining and fun but mostly because I support those I love even if I don’t understand why they love what they love.
